Our client, a leading building contractor based in the West, is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to work in the Galway area.
The ideal person for this role will have 1 to 4 years of post-graduate experience, ideally working for building contractors.
The person hired for this role will have the option to work from home for part of the week.
Main Duties:
* Working under a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
* Work closely with the project team to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of projects.
* Conduct regular site visits to ensure project costs are accurately recorded and reported.
* Develop and maintain relationships with the client and maintain positive relations on behalf of the company.
* Ensure the Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements.
* Assisting with the commercial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts.
* Assisting with Cost Monitoring and Reporting
Skills and Experience required:
* Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
* 1 to 4 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a building contractor.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel
* Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites
