Senior Mechanical Engineers x 2 One Full time role and one part time role (2-3 days per week) on a major Healthcare project in Dublin. Undertaking a hospital project is a complex journey, brimming with challenges yet ultimately fulfilling. The successful candidate will form a critical part of the management & Engineering team, supporting project delivery, Commissioning, Technical Engineering advice predominantly within the Healthcare sector Play a leading Mechanical Engineering role in the development of Technical Engineering, corporate and commissioning delivery objectives. Provide Mechanical Engineering and Building Services support & guidance to the Engineering and Project teams. Responsibility and accountability for efficient, effective and the optimal safe delivery of Engineering service deliverables across the responsible projects. Monitor Compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance and specifications. Monitor and control actual performance of the Engineering Function against business and budgetary performance indicators. Ensure compliance with risk management policy and provisions. Ensure a consistency of approach across the Engineering & Project functions. Communicate effectively with Project management and other project participants in order to provide assistance and technical support. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions whilst identifying service development priorities. To provide the lead in acquiring and or providing technical guidance, specifications, advice, oversight or direction on all projects as directed by the Ensure project compliance with all regulatory & statutory requirements relating to safety, design and and maintain records thereof. Carry out the Design review of Mechanical services for installations/projects in compliance with the applicable Irish standards & Hospital Technical Memoranda. Develop design documentation and control processes for system schematics and X-ref documentation utilising computer aided design packages. To provide support to the team during project development, planning & deployment. To take the lead role in relation to investigating technical failures that caused either service loss or had a negative impact to patients. Organise and implement training programmes as necessary for clients. Provide to the team regular information on the performance of the mechanical team, Clients, external service providers and Projects, highlighting any areas of concern with regard to statutory or legislative, deficiencies. Develop and foster a proactive Health & Safety culture having regard to legislative requirements and best practice. Assist in the procurement and appointment of Design Teams, architects & external engineering consultants. Partake and assist the Projects Office in the development of minor projects from conceptual stage, development of brief through to project completion to the required standard within budget and agreed time frames. Develop commissioning procedures, validation and acceptance tests in conjunction with Design Teams.
