Senior Talent Acquisition and People Specialist
We are looking for a Head of Finance to join our team in Dublin.
The Head of Finance will perform in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, specifically in both IFRS and local GAAP. To be successful in this role, the successful candidate must have excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day financial management of a group of companies including the month-end and year-end close
Responsible for cashflow management and reporting
Maintain strong relationship with banks as well as maintaining KYC packs
Preparation and submission of bi-monthly VAT returns
Preparation of annual statutory accounts as well as corporation tax computations
Liaising with external accountants to ensure timely submission of statutory filings
Review, maintain and develop financial policies and procedures framework which support the business and strategic objectives
Support budget and forecasting activities
Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software used for financial purposes
Ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience
Stakeholder management skills able to engage senior stakeholders and executive leadership
Collaborator able to work in cross functional teams, comfortable with change
Analytical mindset with superior attention to detail
Problem solver able to evaluate processes, identify new ways of working, and champion process improvement
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
Deep understanding of business principles and practices
Experience with working to tight deadlines
Proficiency with Sage and MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
Advanced degree in accounting, finance or professional accounting designation ie ACCA, CIMA
