Information Systems Manager — Cork-based
Salary: €90,000‑€100,000 plus an excellent package (bonus, pension, healthcare, etc). The role is permanent. First six months: 5 days a week, thereafter hybrid model.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive and implement technology‑driven improvements across operational performance, QA, learning & development, internal communications, and corporate governance.
Gather and interpret stakeholder needs, converting them into technical requirements and delivering solutions on schedule.
Oversee end‑to‑end management of business systems and digital platforms – requirements definition, implementation, user adoption, continuous enhancement.
Assess workflows, system effectiveness, and organisational readiness for change, incorporating findings into continuous improvement initiatives.
Own and maintain the organisation's digital transformation plan, providing regular status reporting, identifying risks, and managing mitigation strategies.
Utilise a disciplined, structured delivery methodology while ensuring agility and avoiding unnecessary process overhead.
Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments and best practices to strengthen operational capability and long‑term growth.
Ensure the IT landscape remains stable, resilient, secure, supporting day‑to‑day business activities.
Safeguard data accuracy and system integrity through update management, permission controls and risk monitoring.
Carry out periodic technology reviews and audits, converting findings into improvement plans.
Design, document and maintain business continuity, backup and recovery frameworks.
Essential Criteria
A degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Approximately 6‑8 years managing IT systems, enterprise applications or business technology solutions in a commercial/private sector setting.
Hands‑on experience supporting or administering enterprise platforms such as ERP or CRM systems.
Experience with Salesforce, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics or SAP Business One is desirable.
Demonstrated experience leading technology projects and reporting progress to senior leadership.
Technical Expertise Required
Designing and supporting database environments.
Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory administration (identity governance, access policies, conditional access, MFA).
Core networking principles (firewalls, VLAN configuration, routing, VPN connectivity).
Management of ERP or enterprise application repositories.
Endpoint and device management solutions (Intune preferred).
Cloud‑based application security and compliance controls.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards/frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or SOC 2.
Desired Skills and Experience
Hands‑on experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP or CRM systems.
Experience leading technology projects and reporting progress to senior leadership.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics or SAP Business One.
