Automation Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and motivated Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and commission automation systems that support advanced manufacturing operations across a global production network.
Job Description:
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering world-class automation solutions and ensuring consistent engineering standards across multiple sites. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and implementing automation and control systems to improve manufacturing performance and reliability across international facilities.
Responsibilities:
* Design and program automation and control systems.
* Implement automation systems to improve manufacturing performance and reliability.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PLCs, drives, SCADA, and automation networks within production environments.
* Lead or support commissioning activities for new or upgraded equipment, ensuring smooth handover to operations teams.
* Collaborate closely with production, quality, and safety teams to deliver projects that meet performance, compliance, and safety objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Requirements include a degree in Electrical, Automation, or Control Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or process environment. Strong technical expertise in PLC programming and diagnostics is required, with experience with Siemens S7 (300/400) and TIA Portal preferred. Practical understanding of motion control systems is also necessary, as well as experience in SCADA configuration and reporting systems, ideally Siemens WinCC. Familiarity with electrical control system design and related safety standards is also required.
