IT Support Engineer
Prevos Solutions is a dynamic and growing Managed IT Service provider based in Galway. We are currently seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer that wants to forge an IT career with no upper limit.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Senior IT Support Engineer will resolve a variety of complex IT challenges, primarily by responding to support requests including: Microsoft 365 administration, Server setup/support, security administration, network support incl firewall/routers; and Disaster Recovery implementation and management. In addition to this, duties include device/account access support, hardware/printer troubleshooting and repair.
* Responding to and resolving service requests via support desk requests in a timely manner, and triage such requests based on level of urgency.
* Setting up and maintaining user accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Antivirus/encryption environments.
* Adhering to and maintaining established internal procedures.
* Configuring new server builds, migrating data, setting up Active Directory.
* Server and Active Directory Maintenance.
* Implementing Disaster Recovery solutions: file/folder and Image backup. Also testing same and reacting rapidly to situations where backup data needs to be restored for customer.
* Guiding more junior members of the service delivery team.
* Manage the process of pushing out updates to critical client network infrastructure.
* Role requires presence in Galway office; however, some remote work is possible depending on circumstances.
REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 3 years experience in an IT support role.
* Microsoft 365 Administrator, and extensive experience in supporting Microsoft 365.
* Fluency in all of the following networking technologies: Active Directory/Domain Control, TCP/IP, CCNA, Firewalls.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity software administration and related technologies.
* Ability to respond to high pressure situations with ease.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Full drivers licence – No points, manual car.
PREFERRED
* Degree in an IT related subject.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
* Microsoft Certification.
* Cisco Certification.
