Researcher Position
This researcher position supports the Minimal Curation project, a joint initiative between UCC's Department of Digital Humanities and MTU's Nimbus Research Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading a national survey of digital heritage practices to inform best practices in sustainable cultural heritage preservation.
* Collaborating with team members on prototype development for community-driven archives, promoting accessible digital content.
* Developing open-access toolkits and publications to advance digital humanities research and sustainability.
This role requires interdisciplinary collaboration across digital humanities, sustainability, and computing, with regular engagement with cultural partners and stakeholders. A strong publication record in reputable academic journals is essential for career progression.
Requirements:
* Experience in digital humanities, cultural heritage, human-computer interaction, or related fields.
* Proven project management skills, including coordination and leadership.
* A commitment to equitable, energy-efficient digital infrastructure and its impact on cultural heritage preservation.
The expected progression within Post Doc and Senior Post Doc positions can be transferred between Irish higher education institutions, influencing starting salaries for PD researchers.
