The Women & Infants Directorate, University Hospital Kerry, provides comprehensive services for antenatal, intra natal, post-natal mothers and their babies, neonatal services and gynaecological and colposcopy services.
The Women & Infants Directorate, University Hospital Kerry is closely integrated with the Regional Tertiary referral centre at Cork University Maternity Hospital in respect of clinical standards and governance.

Midwifery Staff / Managers allocated to the area rotate between Fetal Assessment / Ante-natal/labour and delivery and post natal areas to ensure continuing care and midwife competence.
Maternity Services at UHK are delivered within the HSE South West Region, Maternity Directorate which is based on the principles of partnership and integration and strongly supports the involvement of the multidisciplinary team in service provision.
There are four Maternity Units in HSE South West – University Hospital Waterford, University Hospital Kerry, Cork University Maternity Hospital and University Hospital Tipperary - spanning four of the largest counties in the country.
Maternity Services includes Neonatology and Gynaecology as well as Midwifery and Obstetrics.
The Group's Primary Academic partner is University College Cork.
A wide range of educational programmes and research is conducted within all hospitals in the Group.
