Area Manager – Retail Operations - Various Sites
Our client is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee the strategic and operational performance of their retail estate. This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, and a proven track record in multi-site retail management.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you’ll act as the key link between stores and the support office, ensuring consistent standards, strong team performance, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with store teams and customers to drive sales
Manage budgets, resources, and store visit schedules efficiently
Deliver company strategies on marketing, merchandising, and operations
Oversee loss prevention, health & safety, and in-store compliance
Recruit, coach and develop Store Managers to maximise team performance
Conduct regular performance reviews and address skills gaps
Handle escalated customer issues and maintain high service standards
Analyse weekly reports and take corrective action where needed
Drive KPI achievement and overall profitability
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in multi-site retail management
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
Commercially aware with experience in achieving sales targets
