Group Financial Accountant Role
This position plays a key role in the finance team of a world-renowned Irish Plc, collaborating with business units and reviewing submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business units throughout the reporting cycle, providing guidance and reviewing their submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements, including conducting technical reviews to ensure alignment with all applicable reporting and audit standards.
• Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting processes, particularly in response to evolving statutory and regulatory disclosure requirements.
• Develop and review consolidation templates and schedules; prepare consolidation journals, eliminations, and intercompany reconciliations across the Group.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial results, performing analytical reviews of subsidiary submissions to meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Address and resolve issues identified during internal and external audits in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements:
• Big 4 Qualified Accountant
• Focus on adding value by meeting customers needs and being flexible in doing so.
• Ability to engage multiple stakeholders with varying objectives and be able to contribute both individually and as part of a wider team.
Remuneration:
