Purpose of Post
The primary purpose of this role is to provide a safe and effective service to the residents within your care through the implementation of quality and safe processes and systems within the house or houses that you are responsible for. You will oversee Social Care Assistants and Volunteers, and implement compliance with all statutory and quality requirements. You will report regularly on service quality, identify areas for improvement, and lead the team to deliver person‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Advocacy and Rights
o Uphold the human, legal and constitutional rights of individuals supported by CCoI.
o Encourage the development of self‑advocacy skills and involvement in advocacy.
o Ensure staff respect tenancy rights and participants are consulted on their living arrangements.
* Person‑Centred Support for Living
o Implement the keyworker system and deliver high‑quality, personalised service.
o Support the development, implementation and review of personal, intimate care, behaviour and medication plans.
o Facilitate autonomy, participation and community integration.
* Management & Leadership
o Manage and administer the service and lead the staff team.
o Provide one‑to‑one supervision and ensure adequate rosters and annual leave planning.
o Ensure compliance with policy, grievance, disciplinary and health & safety procedures.
o Maintain accurate records for each resident, including personal needs assessments, incidents, medication and financial statements.
o Provide immediate reporting of any concerns to the Person in Charge.
o Promote an open culture of learning, feedback and complaints management.
* Money and Budgets
o Monitor budget application and report effectiveness to the Person in Charge.
o Prepare and manage the budget for your area, ensuring accountability and appropriate documentation.
o Ensure residents are consulted regarding budget use and all financial assets are protected.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* Minimum Level 7 (QQI Framework) – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent.
* At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a social care setting.
* Minimum 3 years of experience working in the disability sector or with vulnerable adults.
* Detailed understanding of national and sectoral policy and standards in social care.
* Excellent working knowledge of HIQA regulations, safeguarding, Trust in Care, Children’s First and other regulatory requirements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
* Full driver’s licence and own car.

Details of the Role
Salary Scale: €41,269 – €52,445 per annum (based on a 40‑hour week).
Location: The Bridge Community, Kilcullen, R56R744.
Duration: Full‑time 40 hours per week.
