The 4 star Ardilaun Hotel is recruiting a Front Office Manager to lead our reception team and help deliver consistently excellent service across the guest journey.
As Front Office Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Front Office, ensuring a professional, efficient, and welcoming experience for every guest, while leading, coaching, and developing the team.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily reception processes including check-in/out, billing, deposits, payments, and cash handling controls Ensure accurate room allocation, pre-arrival planning, and smooth handovers between shifts Monitor daily arrivals/departures, occupancy, rate plans, and room status, ensuring the Front Office runs efficiently Ensure all reports, logs, and operational checklists are completed correctly and on time Deliver a warm, efficient, and professional guest welcome and departure experience Proactively manage guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and fairly Recruit, train, coach, and develop reception team members to a consistently high standard Create and manage departmental rosters in line with business needs and labour budgets Support performance management, including probation reviews, ongoing feedback, and training plans Work closely with other departments, including Housekeeping to manage room status, priority cleans, early arrivals, and late departures Drive upselling and upgrade performance, ensuring the team is confident and consistent in offering options to guests Monitor overbooking, no-shows, cancellations, and walk-in strategy in line with hotel procedures Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, GDPR, health safety, and cash handling procedures Requirements Proven experience in a Front Office leadership role (hotel experience essential) Strong people management skills, with a calm, hands-on leadership style Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving ability High standards, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as required Experience with hotel PMS systems (experience with specific systems is an advantage) Benefits: Free access to the Leisure Club Employee Assistance Programme Free Parking Pension Plan Free meals on Duty Discounts throughout the hotel Staff rates on hotels throughout Ireland Uniform provided Bike to Work Scheme Employee Referral Programme
