What can you expect?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cyber Risk team at Marsh Ireland. This role will be based in Dublin. It is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
As the Cyber Digital & Data Product Owner, you will play a critical role in delivering Marsh's most significant, large‑scale, complex programs aligned to our global Cyber strategic transformation and change agenda. You will be the connecting point between technology, business and leadership.
Managing Cyber digital products and services end‑to‑end to achieve business outcomes, contributing to a detailed and robust Cyber Digital and Data product roadmap, and participating in product discovery exercises focused on crystallizing end‑user needs and curating demand for Cyber digital products.
We will count on you to:
Roadmap development: Lead and shape Cyber’s digital and data solutions product roadmap, ensuring alignment with Cyber practice needs and strategic objectives.
Requirement analysis: Develop a deep understanding of Cyber digital and data business objectives and customer/end‑user requirements, translating them into actionable backlogs for delivery teams.
Product prioritization: Ensure digital and data solution prioritization is strategically aligned and define Cyber’s Digital Solutions Product KPIs, aligned with business KPIs, to monitor performance and success of Cyber Practice Growth.
Communication: Collaborate with leaders across Marsh / MMC, external partners, and clients to understand and document requirements for digital solutions. Proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and changes to the roadmap to stakeholders, sponsors, and users.
Alignment & planning: Ensure vision and goals of new product development are consistently articulated and establish delivery schedules with engineering teams to ensure timely product releases.
Collaboration: Undertake regular work‑stream meetings, document and follow up on actions and risks identified from the meetings and escalate where needed, while ensuring remediation action plans are implemented.
Emerging technologies: Monitor Cyber industry trends, cybersecurity developments, regulatory changes, and competitor actions to anticipate their impact on the Cyber practice and inform strategic planning.
What you need to have:
Experience: 6 or more years hands‑on experience in product development or product management, with knowledge of Insurance, Broking and/or Carrier markets beneficial.
Hands‑on approach: Experience partnering with engineering teams on agile product delivery and documenting requirements (e.g., user stories).
Problem‑solving: A creative problem solver who can address challenges, adapt to changing circumstances, and make strategic adjustments to optimize product outcomes.
Process improvements: Demonstrable experience developing and executing new product development or product prioritization frameworks and processes.
Data & analytics: Advanced analytical and quantitative reasoning capabilities, leveraging customer, market, and commercial data to inform product strategies. A technical background in business analysis, engineering, data, or data science beneficial.
Communication: Clear, persuasive communication skills, able to shape alignment and influence decisions across product, technology, and customer‑facing teams. Demonstrated ability to communicate with managers, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
Goal focus: Delivery and goal focus with a drive to produce products that have meaningful impact on customers and the business.
What makes you stand out?
Background in software engineering, QA, or systems analysis.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Postman, or Figma.
Exposure to SaaS platforms or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
SAFe® or comparable certification – relevant topics include Agile Product Manager, Lean Portfolio Manager, Product Owner/Manager, Agilist.
Experience with software delivery toolset such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
