At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a drivenProject Quantity Surveyorto join our client’s growing team based in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to make a real impact in an established construction company.

Your new role includes:
* Taking Ownership of Commercial & Procurement process on your projects.
* Estimating, Contract Review & Negotiation, Supplier & Subcontractor Procurement and Payment Application Process
* VO Management, Efficient Materials Ordering, Subcontractor & Supplier Commercial Management, Cost Reporting all the way to Final Account close out.
* Work closely with all company departments (Design, Operations, Finance, H&S) to ensure efficient Project delivery
* Assist Estimating Team on the predicted cost of individual items. Liaise closely with the estimator at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided.
Experience you need:
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse data effectively.
* Good attention to detail, with an analytical approach and ability to work using your own initiative.
* Need to be capable of divergent thinking to allow existing solutions and suppliers to be challenged / reassessed
* Need to have strong verbal communication skills to ensure effective engagement with both suppliers and internal stakeholders as a means to building longstanding relationships.
* 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
* Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
