Job Description
The Clinical Specialist Radiographer will provide a quality patient-focused radiographic service to all patients attending UPMC Whitfield Hospital in line with professional best practice and hospital guidelines, policies, and procedures. They will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and treatment in a planned and coordinated manner as part of the Radiology and wider Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality patient care and treatment in a planned and coordinated manner
* Ensure the provision of a high-quality service in accordance with professional standards of practice
* Carry out appropriate MRI scanning while using relevant clinical information to modify routine procedures when required
* Triage, organize, plan, and protocol individual MRI referrals for scanning from Clinicians prioritizing according to Clinical need
* Advising Clinicians, GPs, and other Healthcare professionals of alternative appropriate examinations when required

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A BSc Diagnostic Radiography qualification or equivalent
* Postgraduate course (NFQ Level 9) or equivalent and no less than 2 years practical clinical experience working in MRI
* 6 years full-time (or an aggregate of 6 years) post-qualification clinical experience
* Experience in a hospital environment is essential
* Up-to-date BLS Certification
