Job Title: Technical Lead for Utility Infrastructure
Description:
As a Technical Lead for Utility Infrastructure, you will play a key role in driving technical excellence and ensuring the efficient delivery of utility works. You will lead a team of engineers and designers to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership for utility design across major infrastructure projects.
* Act as the primary liaison with clients, utility providers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and approvals.
* Oversee the integration of utility designs with enabling and main works, ensuring constructability and programme alignment.
* Lead the design approval process, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with utility diversions and new installations.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of utility-related works.
* Support value engineering and innovation in utility design solutions.
* Monitor and report on design progress, risks, and issues to project leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is essential.
* Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in leading utility design on large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of Irish utility regulations, codes, and approval processes.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
* Experience with enabling works and early-stage project planning is advantageous.
