Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Galway Bay, the Salthill Hotel is one of Galway's most established and respected hotels, known for warm hospitality, quality dining, and exceptional guest experiences.We are now seeking an experienced and motivatedAssistant Bar & Lounge Managerto join our Food & Beverage team.Reporting to the Bar Manager, the Assistant Bar & Lounge Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the hotel's bar and lounge, ensuring high standards of service, team leadership, and guest satisfaction at all times.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong hospitality experience who enjoys leading by example in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the management of daily bar and lounge operationsLead, motivate, and support the bar and lounge team to deliver excellent customer serviceEnsure consistent delivery of high standards in service, presentation, and cleanlinessSupport staff training, onboarding, and performance developmentAssist with stock control, ordering, wastage control, and cost managementEnsure full compliance with health & safety, HACCP, and licensing regulationsHandle guest queries and resolve issues in a professional and friendly mannerOther duties as requiredThe Ideal Candidate will have:Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a bar or hospitality environmentStrong leadership and communication skillsPassion for customer service and guest experienceExcellent organisational and time-management abilitiesKnowledge of drinks service, cocktails, wines, and bar operationsAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysA positive, professional, and hands-on approach
