Operations Manager – The Address Collective
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a working environment that fosters colleague development.
* Promote exceptional customer service delivery.
* Ensure revenue generation and cost control across all hotel departments.
* Maintain rooms and public areas to standards of attractiveness, comfort, and cleanliness.
* Ensure food and beverage standards of quality, innovation, service, and presentation.
* Monitor and minimize energy consumption.
Accountabilities
Operational
* Maximise hotel revenue and profitability across all market segments.
* Develop and direct departmental managers to achieve pre‑set goals and targets.
* Maximise profit opportunities of all outlets.
* Work closely with Group Revenue and Sales to achieve increased revenue per available room, analysing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies.
* Assist in managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure.
* Monitor performance through guest satisfaction systems and financial reports, initiating corrective action.
* Direct development and organisation of special events, promotions and packages with operational heads.
* Maintain and regularly update company policies and ensure team adherence.
* Promote all company facilities and maintain brand standards.
* Oversee all food and beverage operations.
* Establish and maintain a proactive HR function to ensure employee motivation, training and development.
* Manage and motivate duty management team and heads of department.
* Ensure good safety practices, emergency and security procedures.
* Supervise maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings; liaise with contractors and suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, employment regulations and other statutory regulations.
* Ensure fire evacuation procedures are in place and staff are trained, conducting regular fire drills.
Planning & Organising
* Ensure SOPs are in place, updated and adhered to for all departments.
* Ensure all team members attend required training.
* Develop new programs and campaigns to increase sales across market segments.
* Hold regular team and departmental meetings, recording minutes and following up.
* Address client feedback, identifying and resolving service shortfalls.
* Oversee hotel printed promotional material, ensuring brand guidelines.
* Enhance hotel website, working with marketing and web suppliers.
* Monitor all factors affecting the hotel tourism business.
* Oversee the annual operating budget, increasing sales and controlling key costs.
* Maintain working materials/equipment, reporting faulty/damaged items and health and safety concerns.
General
* Interact and communicate with clients, guests and colleagues courteously, friendly, and professionally.
* Be fully aware of all company policies and procedures.
* Maintain professional appearance and presentation.
* Innovate and implement new ideas contributing to company success.
* Protect and promote the image of The Address in print and verbally.
* Manage conflict effectively.
