Equipment Technician – Weekend Shift
Alcon, the global leader in eye care, is seeking an Equipment Technician to work the weekend shift in Cork.
In this role you will plan, execute, and oversee all quality engineering activities to support our manufacturing site.
Responsibilities
Execute all aspects of equipment procurement, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on manufacturing process equipment.
Assist Process Engineering by implementing changes to drive process improvements, reduce scrap, and achieve excellence across all product lines.
Monitor and update the OEE downtime tracking system and equipment process logs.
Complete non-conforming investigations (NCIs) and CAPAs.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Report daily on all activities to the Engineering Manager and highlight potential issues that could affect product lines.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar technical role.
Technical competence in operating packaging equipment.
Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of process equipment.
Familiarity with SQL for data analysis.
PLC (Allen Bradley) experience.
Knowledge of ISO, FDA, and GMP standards.
Minimum Level 6 qualification in an Engineering or Technical discipline.
