A leading financial services company is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Financial Reporting & Control team on a fixed-term contract.
This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end insurance & financial reporting and the opportunity to work closely with internal finance teams and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse accurate financial reports for management, group stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Liaise with internal teams including Finance Business Partners, Credit Control, and Shared Service Centres to resolve queries and ensure data accuracy.
Maintain a strong control and compliance environment, including balance sheet reconciliations and control testing.
Support finance projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and efficiencies.
Contribute to IFRS 17-related reporting activities and finance transformation initiatives.
Support and mentor junior or part-qualified team members where required.
Key Requirements Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
1+ years post-qualified experience (PQE).
Experience in financial services, ideally within the insurance sector.
Knowledge or experience of IFRS 17.
Advanced Excel skills, with good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or similar accounting systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.
A proactive and motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
MUST HAVE: Financial services/ Insurance experience
