Responsibilities
Oversee daily construction operations to ensure they align with project specifications, plans, and timelines.
Work with subcontractors, laborers, and other site personnel to manage work schedules and productivity.
Communicate and collaborate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to address any site-related challenges.
Technical and Quality Control
Interpret and apply technical drawings, plans, and project specifications for accurate execution on-site.
Conduct site surveys and use setting out equipment to ensure precise alignment and measurements.
Perform quality checks, ensuring that construction activities meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Health & Safety Compliance
Enforce compliance with Irish health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting site inspections and risk assessments as needed.
Promote a culture of safety among all site workers, implementing safety measures to mitigate risks and hazards.
Project Documentation and Reporting
Record and manage site activities, including daily logs, site diaries, and progress reports.
Support accurate resource tracking, including labor, materials, and equipment, for efficient cost management.
Attend regular project meetings to provide updates and insights on site progress, challenges, and solutions.
Resource and Material Management
Monitor and manage on-site resources to ensure project timelines are met without disruption.
Work closely with procurement and logistics to secure materials and equipment as required for the site.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant field.
Experience: This role requires 0 experience and will be based all upon the candidates attitude.
Technical Skills: Proficient in surveying and setting out techniques, knowledge of CAD, project management software, and MS Office suite.
Certification: Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and any other necessary site safety certifications.
Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
