Job Role: Business Development Manager Location: Linen Mill Studios, Banbridge, Northern Ireland Responsible to: Head of Sales & Marketing Responsible for:Driving attraction ticket sales globally for all market segments. This is a vital role within the team to drive sales, provide operational and administrative support for our B2B travel trade partners and clients globally. The ideal candidate will have a positive can-do attitude and love working as part of a busy team. The candidate will have responsibility for our individual and group client databases via our travel trade partners and business network. You will support interdepartmental operations, mostly with, but not limited to, the marketing, visitor services and finance teams to ensure efficiency throughout, and to primarily deliver a smooth customer journey. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and establish sound, effective and professional relationships with all current and prospective trade clients to drive ticket sales and experiences. Responsible to generate leads and convert sales, across multiple categories Day to day key account management of our partnerships. Deliver service excellence across all touchpoints. Effective administration management. Responsible for achieving agreed KPIs. Maintain up to date client database and CRM system. Participate fully in all associated sales activities including research, telesales, market engagement, client entertaining, social events, promotions, and familiarisation visits. Assist and support the annual ticket allocation and commission review for travel trade partners. Generate reports, attend and contribute at meetings as requested. Research and identify sales trends and new sales channels with recommendations. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum two years management experience in a sales role with focus on generating leads / prospects Ability to lead and manage a team Proven track record of delivering sales, achieving targets and maintaining sales growth. Excellent leadership experience and skill. Ability to generate new leads and build strong relationships with new and existing trade clients. Experience in negotiation and agreeing contracts. Proficiency in IT/ Microsoft Office with strong presentation skills. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and precision, fluency in spoken and written English. Excellent organisation, co-ordination, prioritisation and time management skills. Solution focused self-driven and resilient. Ability to work flexibly (evenings and weekends) as necessary. Hold a valid driving license and access to transport to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT You will manage all aspects of team management, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of sales executives to ensure high performance and engagement. You will provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular appraisals and feedback sessions to support professional growth. Your role includes fostering a positive workplace culture, addressing conflicts proactively, and promoting collaboration within the team. You will be responsible for scheduling, managing workloads, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Additionally, you will act as a mentor and coach, empowering team members to succeed while maintaining accountability and driving results. In addition, you will, Build and embed a world-class customer focused sales team which reflects GOTST ethos and core values. Build professional and binding relationships with international and local tourism bodies. Develop revenue streams, identifying and exploiting opportunities through seasonal, themed and /or corporate events to drive growth and sustainability. Develop and deliver KPIs aligned to the overall business strategy ensuring KPIs and objectives accurately reflect the overall performance of the business. Act as an ambassador for the Game of Thrones Studios Tour, maintaining existing relationships whilst actively identifying and developing new strategic partnerships to drive sales. LEADERSHIP Deliver high professional standards by living the vision and mission of the Game of Thrones Studio Tour. Provide effective leadership to inspire, develop and motivate and direct the sales function to deliver and achieve strategic goals. Provide visible and effective leadership and mentor the sales team, creating a supportive yet forward thinking progressive culture which is supported by focus on targets, results and performance. Ensure all communication (internal and external) is effective and enabling. Set clear team objectives and performance metrics that support the delivery of the strategy and ensure the team receives regular performance feedback. Promote collaboration and joined up working with other departments to ensure an appropriately integrated approach to all activities. Participate and engage in team meetings. Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure seamless delivery in line with business priorities.
