Job Overview:
The role of an Environmental Impact Assessor is crucial in evaluating the potential effects of large-scale Renewable Energy projects on the environment.
As a key member of the Planning Team, you will be responsible for leading the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and delivering the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Appropriate Assessment/Natura Impact Statement (AA/NIS).
Staying up-to-date with changes in planning/environmental legislation, policies, and development plans is essential for success in this role.
You will contribute to company submissions, assist in developing communication and consultation plans with local communities and stakeholders, and prepare specifications for third-party services.
Mentor junior staff in EIA and Appropriate Assessment processes, participate in performance management to achieve team objectives, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
Requirements:
* Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
* Postgraduate qualification desirable
* Five or more years' experience leading EIAR and AA/NIS preparation
* Strong understanding of EIA process and Irish planning policy/legislation
* Experience in renewables or related infrastructure projects beneficial
