We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen management, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality preparation of all menu items.
Your role will involve day-to-day management of the kitchen areas and personnel, working closely with the Head Chef to coordinate roster scheduling, labour costs, and staff productivity. You will also be responsible for assisting with recruitment, overseeing staff performance, and implementing HACCP protocols efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage kitchen areas and personnel to ensure efficient service
* Work with Head Chef to coordinate roster scheduling and labour costs
* Assist with recruitment and oversee staff performance
* Implement HACCP protocols efficiently
Requirements:
* 3+ years experience in a similar role and property as Sous Chef
* Extensive experience in Bar Food, Bistro style Restaurant, and Events
* Able to prioritize, organize, and delegate work assignments in a busy Kitchen
* Ability to oversee staff performance and implement corrective action where necessary
* HACCP certification and knowledge of food safety protocols
