Full Stack Software Engineer
to join their security-focused engineering team.
This role will involve close collaboration with business partners to research, develop, and deploy next-generation data and knowledge applications across multiple technologies in high data volume environments.
The successful candidate will be a strong individual contributor, effective team player, and advocate for continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing frameworks and architectures that align with internal and external standards, whilst ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy full stack applications.
Create and implement software frameworks and architectures in line with best practices.
Maintain focus on quality and security, incorporating automation, design reviews, and unit testing.
Analyse project scopes and provide efficient solutions.
Support projects across the entire software development lifecycle.
Conceptualise, code, and refine next-generation prototypes.
Collaborate independently and within cross-functional teams.
Lead product initiatives, suggest improvements, and mentor colleagues.
Provide clear solutions to technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver innovative business solutions.
Apply agile development methodologies.
Develop testing infrastructure, test cases, and automation for product quality assurance.
Support machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) development initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Primary coding proficiency in Python
, with additional experience in C# or Java beneficial.
Experience using test automation for code certification.
Excellent design and problem-solving abilities.
Strong commitment to code quality and engineering best practices at scale.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present complex analytical findings visually to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
High standards of personal integrity, professionalism, and ethics.
Additional Skills
Proficiency with microservice architectures.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL).
Experience with key-value and NoSQL services (e.g., S3, MongoDB, Couchbase).
Competence in containerisation and orchestration.
Prior experience presenting to senior executives.
Strong background in full stack development.
