Regular Travel to sites within the region will be required.Contract Type: 2-year Fixed contract with 1-year extension option subject to performance.Working Hours : Full time – Mon to Friday. 37.5hr/ week standard contract and will require work outside of normal working hours. 24 days annual leave.Person SpecificationWe are seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about climate action and wishes to join a multidisciplinary team driven to help achieve the Climate Action Plan 2030 across homes and communities in the Southeast Region.What you will be doingA panel of suitable junior energy engineers, with a background ideally in construction, M&E and or energy management will be formed to fill a number of vacancies within the Agency. Work may involve any of the following:· Assist in the delivery of SEEAs non- domestic energy upgrade service .· Report to Lead & support Energy Engineers within the delivery team· Support and provide energy efficiency services for clients (Local authorities, SMEs, Community groups, Sporting organizations )· Performing non- domestic energy audits and analysis· Supporting Lead Energy Engineers in energy analysis, measurement and verification (M&V) results and reports· Liaising with clients, design teams and relevant stakeholders on project delivery· Complete regular non- domestic inspections to ensure projects meet current and scheme standards.· Energy Auditing· NDBER's/BERs· Data and Bill analysisReporting and Documentation· Report directly to the Section Lead, and regularly update on all operational aspects of the assigned projects, including progress of deliverables, resources, budgets, and risks· Ensure the timely submission of technical reports to the ClientStakeholder Engagement· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across all sectors relevant to SEEA's work· Liaising with clients, design teams and architects on strategic project delivery· Collaborate with the SEEA Support Office, Communications and Marketing Team, and Technical Team.· Foster and maintain team spirit within the Organisation· Attend SEEA project-related events when requested, and provide support as neededQuality and Compliance· Adhere to the company's Quality Management System requirements, including performing work according to process documents, procedures, and maintaining necessary records· Understand and apply quality and environmental policy statements in all aspects of work· Ensure that the needs and requirements of the company's customers are understood and delivered· Enhance the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates, and improvement ideasThe Ideal CandidateEach Candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms for the position have:· Level 6 certificate in Energy Engineering or related discipline (Mech, Elec, Civil, Arch, Build Services, Environment etc.)· Minimum 2-years' experience in at least two of the following sustainable energy disciplines:· Public Sector Energy Management Services (Energy MAP &/or ISO50001)· Energy Auditing/BER's or similar· Data Analysis· Building fabric and M&E retrofit delivery· Technical Specification / Quality assurance checks· Excellent interpersonal & Client communications skills.· Strong IT and analytical skills.· Self-starter and self-motivated.· Valid Full Drivers LicenceDesirable Experience / QualificationsOne or more of the following would be an advantage:Construction background, with strong knowledge of either construction or M&E in buildingsBER/NDBER AssessorRegistered SEAI Technical AdvisorKeen understanding of the Energy sector and the National Climate Action PlanKnowledge of current building regulations and TDGsExperience in Microsoft Project and ExcelExperience in AutoCAD/ REVIT/ Retscreen or other similar Energy analysis toolsExperience in energy efficient design of buildings or building servicesHOW TO APPLYPlease complete the Application Form available on and return to Joanne Brennan at with a subject line 'Junior Energy Engineer" telling us more about yourself, your experience/ambitions.
