Job Title: Conference & Banqueting Waiter
Reporting To: Director of Conference & Banqueting
Responsibilities
* Setting up assigned function rooms, stations and tables
* Retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications and group requirement, courteously and efficiently
* Take beverage orders and collect payments where specified
* Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment
* To carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company Policy
* Adhere to strict Health & Safety standards to ensure well-being of guests and other team members
* Be able to move and lift up to 16kg (women) and up to 25kg (men) as per safe manual handling guidelines
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year experience in a similar conference & banqueting waiter role
* Previous bar experience
* Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
* Cash handling experience an advantage
* Excellent customer skills and communication skills
* Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
* Excellent grooming standards
* Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
* Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
* Ability to serve alcohol as per current laws
