Overview
Applications are invited for a permanent, full-time Professor in Health Research Methodology at University of Galway.
We seek to appoint an ambitious and highly committed academic leader with a demonstrable track record in health-research-methods scholarship, competitive grant acquisition, and educational innovation.
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership within the Centre for Health Research Methodology (CHRM) – housed in the School of Nursing & Midwifery – building internationally-competitive research programmes, strengthening postgraduate and CPD offerings in research methodology, and contributing to the University's strategic vision for excellence in health research and evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership within the Centre for Health Research Methodology (CHRM).
Build internationally-competitive research programmes in health research methodology.
Strengthen postgraduate and CPD offerings in research methodology.
Contribute to the University's strategic vision for excellence in health research and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications / Requirements
Demonstrable track record in health-research-methods scholarship.
Experience in competitive grant acquisition.
Experience in educational innovation.
Salary
: €104,510 to €113,692 (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011).
The appointment will be made on the Professor scale in line with current Government pay policy and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the QA321-Updated-PP-
