Position SummaryAs a Mainframe Developer at CVS Health, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and deployment of critical integrated mainframe applications and systems. The role ensures delivery of business value and maintains production applications with excellent performance and scalability. You will work in an Agile scrum team, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to analyze requirements, develop technical specifications, and implement solutions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop mainframe applications according to customer specifications and requirements.Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.Work as part of a team to ensure solutions are designed to fully function in an integrated application suite.Design and develop solutions that enable applications to perform optimally and can scale to meet future business needs.Perform thorough unit and integration testing, and support QA testing and deployment activities.Maintain and enhance existing mainframe systems.Work with other developers to create high‑performance, scalable applications.Monitor systems to ensure proper functioning.Analyze and optimize applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues in mainframe applications.Create and maintain documentation related to mainframe applications.Closely interact with project managers, business analysts, and other developers, both locally and remotely.Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in mainframe.Required Qualifications3‑5+ years of experience with mainframe development and support using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, SQL, MQ, Xpeditor, Endevor, or similar source control.Systems analysis, software design principles, and software architecture skills.Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.1+ years of experience supporting large‑scale offshore vendor arrangements.2+ years of healthcare experience in plan setup/enrollment, claim adjudication, or member eligibility/enrollment.Preferred QualificationsExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage changing priorities and multitask effectively, prioritizing business impact and urgency.Ability to work in a team environment to deliver projects.Self‑starter who takes initiative with challenging situations.Experience with mainframe modernization/transformation initiatives.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.Pay Range€35,000.00 – €90,000.00Application WindowClose on 01/07/2026
