Role Overview: Reporting to the Stock Control Manager, the Purchasing & Replenishment Coordinator supports the book strategy by coordinating stock replenishment, managing purchase orders, maintaining product system data, and ensuring efficient stock management and administrative processes within the book trading team.
The role straddles both the New and Core product categories and focuses on the delivery of first-rate customer experience while supporting the delivery of budgeted sales and margin for the category.
As Purchasing & Replenishment Coordinator, the candidate will manage new title allocation reviews (including our third-party orders), maintain the stock replenishment files for new titles, ensure events or store signings are covered for relevant stocks, and collate and manage weekly store stock requests.
The candidate will work closely with the stock control manager (SCM) and senior buyer (SB) on these tasks.
The role will also involve the generation and management of purchase orders, liaising closely with suppliers to ensure warehouse and in-store stock levels are managed as per team KPIs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing various sales, systems and ad hoc information reports as required and will be tasked with participating in key initiatives and cross-functional activities relevant to the book trading category.
The ideal candidate will be required to develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Internally they will liaise closely with the ecommerce team, the warehouse, retail operations and store teams, while externally they will be in close contact with our publishers and suppliers.
