Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join our team for a 6-month remote contract based in the EU. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a mix of project and service-related tasks, contributing to the development of our network offering for clients.

The Role:

As a Cisco Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network solutions for our clients. You will bring expertise in Cisco technologies up to CCNP level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network planning, troubleshooting, and security.

This is a fully remote contractor role, but candidates must be based in the EU to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, design, and implement Cisco-based network solutions for enterprise clients.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including escalations from the service team.
* Optimize LAN/WAN performance, ensuring reliability and security.
* Work with Cisco Meraki, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network infrastructure components.
* Maintain up-to-date network documentation, configurations, and standards.
* Implement network security measures and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

* 3-4+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
* Strong expertise in Cisco technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, IOS, NX-OS).
* Solid knowledge of IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast).
* Proficiency in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies.
* Experience in network security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
* Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, or CNMA) are highly desirable.
* Experience with Linux, Asterisk, VoIP, and virtualization platforms is beneficial.

Soft Skills:

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
* High attention to detail and a customer-oriented mindset.
