Job Description:Laboratory Operations AssistantLocation: County Carlow, IrelandCompany: IASJoin Our Team at IASWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our dynamic team in County Carlow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential laboratory operations and data management processes in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration & Data Management:Accurately input results into the LIMS system.Log incoming samples and maintain organized records.Answer phone queries and provide excellent customer service.Compile reports and complete quality documentation.File worksheets and maintain compliance standards.Sample Receipt & Handling:Sort, split, and store samples correctly.Log sample data and track payment status.Communicate urgent sample requirements to the lab team.Collaborate to meet KPIs and ensure timely processing.Key Requirements & QualificationsEducation: Leaving Certificate or equivalent; diploma/degree in a science discipline preferred.Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.Language: Strong spoken and written English skills.IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with LIMS is a plus.Ideal Candidate AttributesStrong teamwork and collaboration skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.Why Join IAS?Be part of a supportive and professional team.Opportunity to develop skills in laboratory operations and data management.Competitive salary and benefits package.
