The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club's dining and beverage operations, including the main clubhouse restaurant, private member events, on-course halfway house and catering functions. This role requires a strong focus on high-quality member service, operational efficiency, profitability, and maintaining the club's exceptional reputation. Key Responsibilities: Establish and enforce service standards to ensure exceptional and consistent member and guest experiences across all F&B outlets. Manage inventory, procurement, storage, and issuance of all food, beverage, and operating supplies. Monitor and control costs (COGS and labor) to meet budgeted financial goals. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety, sanitation, and liquor laws. Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of all F&B facilities and equipment. Work with the Head Chef to develop seasonal menus, special features, and ensure optimal pricing that appeal to the membership demographic, societies, group bookings and events, whilst ensuring cost effectiveness of the kitchen Act as the primary F&B contact for members, soliciting feedback and proactively resolving any service issues or complaints in a professional manner. Coordinate and execute all member and non-member banquet and private events, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring profitability and high service standards. Oversee the planning and execution of club events, tournament catering requirements, and private functions, working with committee members, members and visitors to customize details and ensure a successful experience. Assist the General Manager in preparing the annual F&B budget, including revenue forecasting and expense planning. Track daily sales, labor costs, and operational variances. Prepare regular reports on F&B performance for the General Manager. Oversee the Point-of-Sale (POS) system configuration, data accuracy, and staff training. Recruit, hire, train, and manage a high-performing F&B team (front-of-house, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and supervisors) within the budget Create efficient work schedules to meet operational needs while managing labor costs within budget. Conduct regular staff meetings, coaching, and performance reviews to ensure accountability and professional growth. Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment. Required Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive management experience in a private club, high-end hotel, or upscale restaurant environment. Proven ability to deliver consistent, personalized, and discreet service to a discerning membership. Strong understanding of P&L statements, budgeting, inventory control, and labor management. Proficiency with POS systems (e.g., Clubnet), Microsoft Office Suite, and social media Current HCAAP (or equivalent) and relevant food safety certifications (e.g., ServSafe Manager). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, commensurate with the demands of a premier golf club.
