Role Description
This is a full-time Technical Sales Specialist role in the Property Department. The role will be based in Bray, Co. Wicklow. The Technical Sales Specialist will identify and qualify new business opportunities, manage a sales pipeline, and conduct product demonstrations for prospective customers. They will translate technical product features into clear value propositions, prepare proposals and quotations, and support the negotiation and closing of deals. The role includes providing pre- and post-sales technical support, answering product and installation questions, and coordinating with engineering or operations teams to ensure successful deployments. The specialist will maintain strong customer relationships, respond to inquiries in a timely manner, gather feedback from the field, and share insights with internal teams to support continuous improvement of GEV’s EV charging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Generate sales for the Property Unit, liaising with property managers and developers.
Follow up on leads to grow the customer base.
Keep the in-house CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system up to date and use it to help track sales and KPIs.
Process any administrative tasks required by clients to claim SEAI grants.
Support the Sales Team in accordance with company and market requirements.
Key Attributes
Proven experience in Technical Sales and Sales, preferably in EV charging, energy, or related technology sectors.
Experience in Property Sales would be a strong advantage.
Strong Communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Background in Technical Support and Customer Service, with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
Ability to manage a sales pipeline, meet targets, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure, electrical systems, or renewable energy solutions is an advantage.
Comfortable working in an office environment based in Bray, with occasional travel to customer sites as needed.
Strong organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and commercially focused mindset.
Not afraid to go the extra mile and exceed expectations.
Well organised, to ensure that multiple prospects can be managed at different stages of the sales cycle without loss.
Experience in selling solar solutions to commercial clients would be a distinct advantage.
Experience in a multi-faceted sales process (Electrical, Civils, Communication equipment, ESB, SEAI, AGM.s and delivery) would provide a distinct advantage.
