Overview
Title: Import Coordinator (Air, Road and Sea) – Location: Dublin (North) – Type: Full-time, Permanent – Package: €35,000-€42,000 DOE
We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator with strong expertise in managing and arranging international shipments across air, sea, and road freight operations. In this role, you will support the Import Manager in the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and timely coordination of shipments.
Responsibilities
* Manage the full end-to-end import process
* Prepare all necessary documentation for customs entries related to air, sea, and road freight
* Organise collections and coordinate with carriers within the network
* Track consignments and manage pre-alerts
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and overseas colleagues
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships, keeping clients informed throughout the shipment lifecycle
* Oversee invoicing, job costings, and freight documentation
Skills & Experience
* 2 to 3 years’ experience in import operations
* Solid knowledge of customs procedures
* Experience within the freight forwarding sector
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management, planning, and organisational abilities
* Good problem-solving aptitude
* Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
