We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team, specializing in data protection, backup/recovery and cyber resiliency technologies. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in supporting internal sales teams, customers, and partners, driving both new and renewal business. This role requires a strong technical background combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively position our data protection solutions and ensure customer success.
Responsibilities:
* Partner and collaborate with sales teams to provide technical expertise during pre-sales engagements, including product discussions, customer presentations and demonstrations
* Work closely with customers and partners to understand their data protection and cyber resiliency needs, provide technical expertise, and support their success through enablement programs and joint go-to-market strategies
* Provide technical guidance and training to internal sales teams, ensuring they have a solid understanding of technology, product capabilities and competitive advantages
* Support new business development by assisting in technical discussions, RFP responses, licensing and architecture recommendations
* Drive renewal business by engaging with existing customers, addressing concerns, identifying risks and finding opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
* Serve as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between technical requirements and business objectives for customers and partners, while also supporting key strategic initiatives to expand market reach and enhance solution adoption
* Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and advancements in data protection technologies
* Gather and relay customer and partner feedback to product management and engineering teams to contribute to continuous product improvement and align product development with market needs
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of related work experience
* Proficiency in French, Italian and/or Spanish is highly desirable to support a diverse customer and partner base
* Strong knowledge of data protection software and concepts, including backup and recovery, disaster recovery and cyber resiliency
* Proven track record in sales engineering, solutions architect, or similar pre-sale’s technical role
* Travel up to 25%
Additional Qualifications:
* Ability to articulate complex technical solutions in an easy-to-understand manner to sales teams, customers, and partners
* Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners, understanding their unique requirements and pain points
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
