Electrical Maintenance Specialist
The role of Electrical Maintenance Specialist is to oversee the maintenance of electrical equipment in a highly automated industrial processing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of electricians in performing maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, such as PLCs, instrumentation, and variable speed drives.
* Carry out routine maintenance activities to ensure dependable and safe machinery operation.
* Ensure compliance with site regulations and guidelines for maintenance activities.
* Assign team members maintenance tasks using the PEMAC maintenance management system.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities completed by the maintenance staff.
* Collaborate with the maintenance planner to discuss PMs, closed near-misses, and the backlog of tasks.
* Minimize equipment downtime through prompt action, efficient root cause analysis, and effective problem-solving methods.
Requirements:
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage and motivate staff.
* Hold a Time-served Electrician qualification with QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical or equivalent.
* Have working knowledge of switch gear, MCC controls, relay logic, and various AC and DC voltage systems.
* Exhibit high-level diagnostic and problem-solving skills in an industrial environment.
* Understand mechanical and electrical process plants and associated maintenance activities with the wastewater industry.
* Have at least 10 years' experience in an industrial environment.
* Demonstrate thorough understanding of H&S statutory requirements, responsibilities, and obligations.
* Be familiar with Alan Bradley PLC, Ethernet, ControlNet, Device Net & Profibus communications protocols.
* Have good knowledge of ABB Variable Speed Drives.
* Be aware of ATEX zoned areas.
* Hold Comp Ex certification.
* Have medium voltage switching experience and qualifications.
* Familiarity with SCADA process control systems for process and fault diagnosis.
