This role is based in Ireland – you can work remotely, but you must reside in Ireland.
Role Overview:
To deliver process automation system solutions. This is an engineering application role to deliver and maintain SCADA and process control systems. The scope includes all phases of project delivery including obtaining user requirements, documentation, application configurations, testing, commissioning and ongoing maintenance. This role requires strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities:
* Liaise with customers to help define system requirements.
* Generate detailed system design of automation systems to include enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems.
* Generate Functional and Test Specifications.
* Implement control and SCADA application software.
* Carry out system tests.
* Provide commissioning assistance.
* Working as a team member and ensuring effectiveness of work completion using smart objectives.
* Interface with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers, reporting on follow-up of projects.
* Customer site visits for: system start-up and commissioning and technical support.
* Prepared to travel to our customer sites and work the hours to fit in with our customers.
* Undertake short-duration international travel as needed to support global clients and installations.
Qualifications And Attributes:
* Application and configuration of control and SCADA systems and providing related services.
* Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, or other industrial control platforms.
* Certifications in relevant technical fields or safety training (e.g., OSHA, First Aid, etc.).
* Willingness to travel to our customer sites and work the hours to fit in with our customers.
* Be available for on-call duty one week in every four, responding to urgent service needs as required.
* Valid driver’s license.
