Job Overview
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of arterial drainage schemes and construction of flood defence schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Drainage Maintenance: Channel maintenance, embankment maintenance, and structure maintenance.
* Construction: Earthen embankments, reinforced concrete walls, sheet piled retaining and defence walls, precast concrete culverts, bank protection, and erosion protection measures.
* Safety Officer Responsibilities: Hazard identification, risk assessment, control measure advice, communication of health and safety requirements, and corrective action on site.
Requirements
* Hold a Level 7 Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (National Framework of Qualifications).
* Have at least 3 years of satisfactory experience of construction work and knowledge of construction methods, site management, and construction design process.
* Hold a Current Safe Pass Card, Valid driving licence, and Use of own transport.
* Have comprehensive knowledge of construction and general health and safety management systems (ISO 45001:2018).
* Be computer-literate and possess necessary IT skills.
* Possess high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
