TTW offers repairs in Trailers, HGV's, LGV's and spray painting / body repairs in addition to maintaining its own hire fleet and providing its customers with 24/7 support.
Due to the recent expansion of our Swords workshop, we are recruiting an experienced workshop manager to join our trailer workshop team. Having recently completed installation works in our Trailer workshop with the addition of new pits and brake tester we can offer our employees modern facilities to work in and the ability to produce top level workmanship. The main duties of the trailer workshop manager will be:
· Manage all staff in trailer workshop and mobile units x 5 (1 On site mechanic, 2 fridge techs, 1 tyre fitter, 1 after hours call out mechanic).
· Manage yard shunter driver, parking and service queue in yard
· Manage service reception to ensure all invoicing, PO requests and phone queries are handled efficiently and professionally
· Assist service reception with any technical queries / breakdown management
· Ensure all staff submit relevant paperwork in relation their role
· Manage trailer workshop flow of works and schedule plans with service reception
· Control costs spend and ensure correct approval procedures are followed
· Manage tail lift stock of spare parts
· Provide advise for workshop staff in relation to on-going repairs, provide customers with repair quotations
· Act as a point of contact for customers to communicate any issues with.
· Manage monthly department target / spend
Experience needed:
Previous workshop management, ideally in a trailer maintenance environment .
Qualified mechanic or time served equivalent.
Experience using modern software systems
IT experience, Email, micro soft excel, word etc.
Strong people management skills and customer communication focus
