Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript)
Evolutio is an independent Hospital Eye Service provider, established in 2011 and having seen over 1 million patients, using milti-disciplinary clinical teams, working together to deliver a high-quality ophthalmology outpatient and minor surgical service, for NHS and self-pay patients.

We are seeking a Backend Developer to join our in-house development team in Sligo. You will work with experienced engineers to build and maintain backend services powering Evolutio’s Evonnect clinical platform.
Due to employment permit requirements, this role is open to EEA citizens or Irish nationals only and is an office based vacancy for our Sligo office.
Key Responsibilities
Build backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
Write clean, secure, well-tested code
Collaborate with frontend developers and product owners
Support integrations with NHS systems and diagnostic devices
Apply best practices in performance, scalability, and security
Requirements
1+ years experience with Node.js backend development
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
