They will identify and investigate new product ideas or technologies, bring them through a defined technology development process, build prototypes, collect user feedback, and conduct experimentation and data analysis to optimize and refine product concepts and perform verification and validation of product designs.
They will serve as a leader in a collaborative and cross‑functional environment for the successful completion of project goals and will be capable of interfacing with senior management within the organization.
Duties Represent R&D on New Product Development project teams Research new ideas and technologies/materials and evaluate technology performance and stability Sourcing/selecting materials and components and evaluating them Develop product and component specifications to ensure that the product consistently performs to a level which meets the needs of the customer Develop new test methods to characterize and measure the performance of the product Provide technical R&D support to other functions including Global Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering and Manufacturing Manage project schedules, conduct product and project risk analysis and ensure successful and timely completion of project activities Work with patent counsel to support patentability/infringement searches and preparation of patent applications Create relevant design documents including technical reports, drawings, specifications Plan and perform design verification and design validation activities Company An established Multinational with Manufacturing and R&D facilities on-site in Ireland.
