Overview

Strategic Account Management is one of the pillars of PwC's Business Development Department. This is a permanent role in a dynamic and multifaceted Department focused on driving business development through the PwC account management framework. The role focuses on relationship development and identifying revenue growth opportunities within designated client accounts. You will collaborate with client-facing account teams, service line and sector teams across PwC Ireland and connect with the broader PwC Global network to benefit your accounts and departments.

You will work with colleagues across the Clients & Markets Department, including salesforce, marketing, events, strategic communications, and social media to provide an integrated sales and market service. While the primary focus is business development, an understanding of the interconnection between sales and marketing is essential. The role includes driving sales measurement through the CRM system, assisting account drivers in managing pipelines, and supporting the Head of Business Development in establishing consistent revenue and enablement program reporting.


Responsibilities

* Work with Relationship Partners across service lines to drive best practice account management and ongoing account management.
* Drive the process of annual account and revenue planning on designated accounts, including co-development of the account growth strategy.
* Develop a deep understanding of accounts and sectors to ensure PwC client-facing teams bring the best of PwC globally to the local market.
* Develop and build client relationships through managing procurement relationships, including regular engagement, monthly reporting on activity and spending, and positioning PwC as a trusted advisor and partner.
* Provide structure and ideation for the account team, including co-chairing and facilitating ongoing account meetings, supporting opportunity pipeline management, and driving revenue growth through enablement programs.
* Manage and facilitate client feedback, driving a culture of gathering feedback through the Client Experience program.
* Support the ongoing management of a small number of critical pursuits across account teams.
* Connect the account team internally and with PwC network subject matter experts.
* Proactively bring insights, thought leadership and propositions to the account team.
* Act as a Salesforce champion and advocate for its effective use, supporting account managers with best practices.
* Collaborate with the wider Clients & Markets team on events, marketing and key strategic sales campaigns.


Experience and skills

* A minimum of 6-7 years' experience in strategic account management, with a proven track record at a senior level managing complex, high-value client accounts.
* Experience in professional services, insurance or facilities sectors is preferable.
* Commercial awareness and experience driving business development initiatives in a professional services or similar environment.
* Proven experience in account management methodology.
* Sales campaign experience is an advantage.
* Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proactive and effective at connecting the ‘dots’ across services, accounts and sectors.
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Pursuit experience in a professional services environment.
* Good numeric understanding and attention to detail.
* Ability to influence and work effectively at individual and group levels.
* CRM, Salesforce, Microsoft Tools experience.
