Job Description
Sheen Falls Lodge, a luxury five-star Relais and Châteaux with two Michelin Keys, located on Kenmare Bay in County Kerry, is inviting applications for the position of Director of Sales & Marketing. We seek an experienced, proactive, results-focused professional in the luxury hospitality market to join our executive team.
Role Overview:
The Director of Sales & Marketing will lead the sales, marketing, and revenue strategies of the hotel at both international and domestic levels. This includes overseeing daily operations of sales, marketing, revenue management, events, and brand strategy to align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and monitor the annual sales & marketing strategy, business plan, and budget aligned with financial objectives.
2. Participate in decision-making and activate strategies in collaboration with the General Manager and Revenue Manager.
3. Ensure revenue growth through leadership of sales, marketing, events, and revenue teams.
4. Represent the hotel at various sales activities including trips, events, workshops, tradeshows, and client visits globally.
5. Regularly review all sales, marketing, and revenue activities and adjust strategies as needed.
6. Identify new business opportunities across market segments.
7. Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.
8. Complete required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
9. Manage relationships with key external partners, including brands, PR agencies, and digital marketing partners.
10. Manage sales and marketing projects as required.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in a similar sales and marketing role within a luxury five-star hotel or resort.
* Knowledge of luxury sales & marketing practices, especially in the US and UK markets.
* Proven experience in revenue management and sales & marketing management.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and administrative skills.
* Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a sales & marketing team.
* Willingness to travel for marketplace activities and entertaining clients.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Interpersonal skills and team collaboration ability.
* Valid driving license.
* Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Sales, Revenue, Marketing, or equivalent.
