Job Description:

Manufacturing Associate for the Hipex Value Stream.

SECTION 1: JOB SUMMARY*

Production Associates will carry out a range of tasks to specified standards, requiring mental and visual alertness. They are responsible for their own work performance, quality and will contribute to the success of their team. They will use initiative and judgement in carrying out the duties of these positions. For certain tasks, in addition to the above, Production Associates will require a more in-depth mechanical or spatial aptitude and will have greater scope to change operating/product parameters to ensure conformance to product specification. They are responsible for minimizing the environmental effects of the work that they perform. They are also responsible to perform their work in a safe manner. Certain tasks will also require Production Associates to work within a physically demanding work environment Production Associates may be assigned to a number of tasks, among them, CNC Machining, Polishing/Finishing operations, Foundry operations, Clean and Pack operations, Issue Material and other production related duties as required for business needs.

SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Carry out operations as per relevant CSOP's, data sheets, SWS and TMs. Maintain accurate Production and Quality records. Operate within the cellular manufacturing environment. Maintain GMP/Housekeeping standards. Process product to specified output and quality standards Work in an environment of continuous change, demonstrating flexibility and openness to change. Assist in all internal/external audits. Adhere to the Company's procedures/policies Adhere to Company HSE policies and procedures. All employees are responsible for minimising both the environmental and health and safety effects of the work that they perform. Work within a team environment to deliver results Safe operation of equipment. Checks to be carried out on PIV/fork truck as per procedure.

* Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
* Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
* For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
* Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
* Performs other duties assigned as needed

SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION*

Essential

Satisfactory probationary period served in the company (if internal application) Mechanical aptitude/Spatial reasoning if required. Basic numerical ability Manual dexterity Excellent hand/eye co-ordination Attention to detail Quality orientation Strong Safety orientation

Desirable

Secondary School Education to Leaving Certificate or equivalent Manufacturing Experience in comparable industry where hygiene control/quality control is desired. Basic Engineering Knowledge Completion of CNC course Hobbies/interests of a mechanical nature or requiring precision work with hands Ability to read basic technical drawing Previous experience within a medical devices industry NDT Certification
