Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to lead our team as a General Manager. The ideal candidate must have previous management experience in leisure, hospitality or retail.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the club. They will ensure a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment while driving performance across membership, fitness services, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of the daily operations of the club
* Must be sales orientated and target driven
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, cleanliness, and hygiene standards
* Provide strong leadership and be a role model for professionalism and exceptional customer service
* Effectively handle member and guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints
* Manage club inventory, ordering, and budget control
* Be knowledgeable and experienced in pool plant
* Oversight of cash handling and PCI compliance
* Set and deliver on sales and membership growth targets
* Collaborate with company directors on marketing strategies
* Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and shared accountability
* Recruit, train, and manage staff schedules and performance in line with business needs
* Deliver a selection of fitness classes and maintain a visible presence on the gym floor
* Oversight of specialist operational areas including Health & Safety, Audit Readiness, Maintenance, Administration, and Training
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven general management or senior leadership experience in a fitness or leisure environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and leisure CRM/membership platforms (e.g. Gym Sales, Perfect Gym)
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
