Healthcare Assistant - New Ross & Surrounding Areas
Local Care Work with Real Support and Flexibility
If you're looking for a role where you can make a real difference in people's lives without sacrificing your own, we'd love to meet you.
We're expanding our home care team in New Ross and nearby areas - and we're looking for Healthcare Assistants who want meaningful work, steady hours, and strong support.
Whether you've just finished your QQI modules or you're an experienced HCA ready for a fresh start, this is your chance to build a career that works for you.
What You'll Do
You'll be supporting clients in their own homes with:
* Personal care (e.g., washing, dressing, toileting)
* Light household tasks and meal preparation
* Companionship and emotional support
* Safe mobility and routine assistance
Each day, you'll help someone stay in the place they love most - their home - with dignity and comfort.
Schedules that Work Around You
We offer a mix of part-time, full-time, and flexible contracts.
Our primary need is for:
* Morning shifts: 8am to 12 noon
* Evening shifts: 4pm to 8pm
Once your schedule is agreed, it stays consistent - same times, same clients, every week. That means reliability for our clients, and predictability for you.
We offer enhanced hourly pay based on your experience and training:
* €13.50/hour - Experience + just completed QQI Care Skills & Care of the Elderly
Plus:
* Paid mileage
* Consistent hours and clients
* Full initial and ongoing training
* Incredible local support team - you're never on your own
Not Fully Qualified Yet?
If you have relevant experience (including caring for a loved one), but haven't completed QQI yet, we can help.
We offer subsidised QQI training in Care of the Elderly and Care Skills, which must be completed before you start.
Who We're Looking For
You'll fit right in if you're:
* Compassionate and respectful
* Reliable and organised
* Comfortable working independently - but want a team behind you
Requirements
* Based in New Ross or surrounding areas
* Full driver's licence and your own car
* Must have completed or be ready to complete QQI Care of the Elderly and Care Skills
"Will I be supported? Will I get steady hours? Will I burn out?"
We hear you - and we've built this role with those questions in mind.
You'll be part of a well-organised, well-supported team that values its staff. You'll know who you're caring for, when you're working, and who to call if you need help. We've got your back.
