About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced M&E Resident Engineer to join our team based in County Donegal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, advising and supervising MEICA Project installations on Wastewater projects in the region.
To be considered, you should demonstrate previous experience in either the design, construction or commissioning of MEICA Projects at typical Wastewater facilities, such as treatment plants, wastewater upgrades etc.
* Specialise in Mechanical & Electrical elements of the works with an emphasis on commissioning.
* Drive delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann, focusing on health & safety, time for delivery, cost management, and ensuring that the project is constructed to the specified quality standard.
* Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements).
* Ensure that all materials incorporated into the permanent work, and all workmanship, are executed in accordance with the applicable specification as set out in the works requirements and that required testing is carried out.
* Monitor and report on works being carried out to the Employer's Requirements.
* Inform the employer's representative, the relevant Project Manager and Uisce Éireann of all issues arising on site.
* Implement Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on the construction projects.
* Review and comment on project/site specific HSQE documentation e.g. RAMS, TMP etc.
* Comply with contract health and safety requirements and Contractor's proposals.
* Conduct weekly documented health and safety site reviews, follow up and confirm satisfactory close out of health and safety issues.
* Report any accident or incident on site, no matter how minor, to Uisce Éireann and assist with the accident investigation and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
* Participate in Uisce Éireann HSQE Team's monthly inspections and confirm satisfactory close out of any issues identified.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
* At least 7 years' post graduate experience, with 4 years' industry experience in site supervision, contract administration, commissioning and project management of MEICA works on water / wastewater engineering projects.
* A Degree in a related discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of civil engineering works, Mechanical & Electrical Works, design build operate projects and project management.
* Capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts, experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract would be advantageous, but not essential.
* A current and valid SafePass card and Confined Spaces training.
You will also possess excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work within a team at all times.
