We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation within the construction materials and infrastructure sector. With an expanding presence across Ireland, the business is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Dublin and Leinster region.
The role is supported by a Leinster-based HQ in Kildare and offers the opportunity to join a well-backed organisation with a strong market position and a broad product portfolio. This position will suit someone who enjoys developing long-term commercial relationships and identifying new opportunities across a diverse customer base.
The Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth across a defined territory by developing new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing client relationships.
This is a relationship-led, field-based role with a strong emphasis on specification selling and long-term project engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities across public and private sector clients
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, merchants, and key stakeholders
Engage clients at specification stage to influence product selection and secure long-term project wins
Manage and grow existing accounts, identifying opportunities across a broader product offering
Develop and execute territory sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives
Deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, and sales forecasts
Requirements
Proven experience in B2B business development or field sales
Experience within construction materials, infrastructure, or regulated industries preferred
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Experience managing longer sales cycles and relationship-led sales processes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
Full driving licence and willingness to travel
