Purchasing Assistant – Manufacturing – RoscommonAre you an organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a busy manufacturing environment?We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing company in Roscommon. This role is ideal for someone with purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments.This is a permanent role offering strong career development opportunities within an established manufacturing business.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Purchasing Assistant, you will:Raise and process purchase orders using the ERP systemMaintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and pricing recordsTrack and monitor purchase orders to ensure materials arrive on time for production schedulesLiaise with suppliers regarding delivery updates, shortages, damaged goods, and returnsRequest supplier credits and organise replacement stock where requiredWork closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing variancesCoordinate with Stock Control, Logistics, and Project teams to ensure smooth operationsSupport the Purchasing Manager with reporting, administration, and process improvementsAssist with supplier communication and purchasing documentationEnsure purchasing data and inventory information are kept fully up to dateSkills & Experience RequiredMinimum 2 years’ experience in a purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain administration roleExperience working within manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial sectors is advantageousStrong ERP system experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS OfficeExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong communication and supplier coordination abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPositive, team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a busy operations teamWhat’s on OfferPermanent full-time roleOpportunity to join a growing manufacturing companyCollaborative and supportive team environmentCareer progression and development opportunitiesCompetitive salary packageWhat Skills You NeedPurchasing background with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Proficient in MS Excel/Office and ERP or Purchasing software.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Energetic, positive, and collaborative attitude.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.What's NextApply now by clicking the “Apply Now” button or call us for a confidential discussion.
